Overview

The first International Conference for Sustainable Design of the Built Environment (SDBE) was held in London, UK on 20 and 21 December 2017. The SDBE conference was designed as an opportunity for academics, researchers, architects, urban designers, engineers, building consultants and professionals to meet and share the latest knowledge, research and innovations on topics concerning the built environment.

The conference included keynote speakers and technical workshops to promote the knowledge exchange on the conference themes (seen below). The conference themes included a range of topics covering sustainable design and operation within the built environment. The ultimate aim of this knowledge exchange was, and is, to improve the quality of life, health and well-being whilst mitigating the impact of the built environment on carbon emissions.
The Papers submitted and presented at SDBE have been published in the conference proceedings (with a unique ISBN).
